Hawkesbury Road Safety Initiative

The Hawkesbury Road Safety Forum

The Hawkesbury Road Safety Forum as formed in May 1999 in an attempt to address a range of road safety issues. The Forum comprises representation from Hawkesbury City Council (Road Safety Program Coordinator) Hawkesbury Local Area Command (Community Safety Officer, Highway Patrol and Licensing Officer), Hawkesbury District Health Service (Alcohol & Other Drugs Workers), NSW Ambulance (Richmond Command) and the Roads & Traffic Authority. This road safety initiative was first implemented in the Hawkesbury area in November 1999 and has been ongoing since that time.

The Forum is responsible for managing and advising on most 'Road Safety Projects' in the Hawkesbury area.
