Natalie Burton Award
Nominate from August for the Natalie Burton Memorial Award.
Nominations will be taken from August 2007 for students for the 2007 Natalie Burton Memorial Award. Council is administering the Natalie Burton Memorial Award on behalf of the Burton, Turner and Lawrance families. Natalie Burton was a remarkable individual who died at the age of 33 from cancer in March 2003. Despite her illness, Natalie was committed to assisting doctors to understand the nature of cancer assistance, fundraising and promoting cancer services. This award will be presented to a high school student in the Hawkesbury who has faced a challenging circumstance, and who though their application and determination has overcome this adversity to succeed.
This circumstance could be a disability, illness, serious accident, loss of a family member or other situation.
